Research interest
Clément Massonnaud is a medical doctor, biostatistician, and clinical trialist with strong expertise in the design, conduct, and analysis of complex clinical studies, particularly adaptive and platform trials.
His research interests span adaptive trial methodology, Bayesian and frequentist approaches, infectious disease epidemiology, and the integration of innovative statistical methods to improve the efficiency and reliability of clinical research.
Based at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Clinical Research at Bichat Hospital (AP-HP), he plays a central role as a methodological and statistical lead across a wide portfolio of clinical projects, from protocol development and funding applications to data analysis and publication.
His work includes major contributions to large-scale international trials such as the DisCoVeRy platform trial on COVID-19, as well as advanced statistical analyses of clinical and biomarker data. He has also conducted influential research in infectious disease modeling, contributing to public health decision-making during the COVID-19 pandemic.
